The 16th annual Severna Park Earth Day Festival will take place this Saturday, April 21, from
10am - 1pm at Severna Park High School. This free event will feature more than 50 booths of hands-on activities, information, games, prizes, live animals, crafts, shopping of upcycled and fair trade items, food, and live music featuring some SPHS Rock & Roll members. There will be yoga and zumba classes (10:30; 11:15 & 12). You can ride a bike to power a blender, make a smoothie and much, much more!
The following new and gently used items will be collected at the Festival: sporting goods equipment (including trophies), musical instruments, packaging peanuts and materials, school supplies (especially composition books), unexpired pet medicine (tick, flea, heartworm), and electronics ($20 fee for large monitors and televisions). Do you spring cleaning and bring these items, which will be refurbished to go to those in need.
Be a "thoughtful shopper" - come to the Tin Lizzy mobile boutique and the Good Neighbors Group Refresh consignment.
Tin Lizzy sources goods via Fair Trade, Made in the USA and local artists and craftsmen. Tin Lizzy hopes to inspire shoppers to care more about where the goods they purchase come from and who is affected at every step in the supply chain - and of course, do it in style!
The 2018 Severna Park earth Day Festival is now only 1 week away! We will be having a ton of new and exciting vendors, as well as a ton of the popular returning ones. Some of our most popular ones that will be attending are Ecoadventures, Zumba Session, Yoga Sessions, Goats, Good Neighbors Group, and of course the ability to recycle anything from old televisions to sports equipment. Make sure you bring out friends and family to the festival this upcoming weekend!
The timetable for our popular Zumba and Yoga sessions will be
Yoga: 10:30am and 12pm (1/2 hour each)
Zumba: 11:15am (1/2 hour)
